SumitrA — Sanskrit for “good friend” — is more than a name. It's a promise. Step inside our historic 1926 building on Beach Boulevard and enter a world that feels like a cross between Casablanca and India, curated by our Moroccan-born founder from treasures gathered across a lifetime of travel.
Since 2018, we've been crafting exquisite espresso from locally roasted, fair-trade beans, Mayan drinking chocolate prepared from 2,000-year-old ceremonial recipes, fine loose-leaf teas, and European-style baked goods — with gluten-free and vegan options always available. Our wine bar pours Italian selections, and we were among the first in Florida to offer a full CBD parlor.
With live music on weekends, open mic poetry on Wednesdays, oracle readings, and the warmth of a true community gathering place, SumitrA is where Gulfport's artists, seekers, and dreamers come to slow down and connect.
